So weird.
Its odd how native a timezone feels when you are in your own. Even now in Ottawa, even though I'm not home. After jumping time zones so quickly in the past few weeks, just being in the E.S.T. makes it feel.... normal.
Saw snow fall for the first time today here in Ottawa. I've been working so much, and hotels been so close to work that I haven't even see snow fall. Edmonton's work was 'attached' to the hotel by a sky path system. I've seen snow packed on the ground, fresh snow laying on the ground, but today was the first day to feel it fall on my hair, come inside and have that wet head feeling after grabbing a coffee.
Culture shocks; I fly from Toronto to Edmonton, and I see snow on the ground for the first time this year... not really a culture shock, but just odd. Then, I have to call someone's phone, and all they give me is 7 digits... first time that has happened in recent memory. Caught me by surprise, I was looking at them in a questioning way... waiting for the area code, but they were dumbfounded that I had to ask for it. So weird, 10 digit dialing being so... normal.
I'll get to writing some later, it'll probably be a notebook transcription copy, as being online is a rare thing. Tonight, I actually get to sleep.... how... odd.
Oh yeah, Since Monday morning, (it being Wednesday today) I've already billed for 60+ hours.
